After trying to bring Hulk to the big screen not once, but twice, Marvel’s plans to give Bruce Banner and his volatile big green alter ego their own film have been placed on the back burner … for now. But Marvel hasn’t forgotten about Hulk’s solo films entirely because according to ‘The Incredible Hulk’ star Tim Roth, the studio almost brought his villainous character back for an appearance in ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron.’

2015 is going to be such a great year for movies—so great, in fact, that we couldn’t even narrow down our list of next year’s most anticipated films to just 10; we chose 25 instead (we’re loose cannons around here). But forget what we want. What are the most anticipated films according to moviegoing consumers like you, dear reader? A new poll reveals the top five most highly anticipated films of 2015, and the answers probably aren’t that surprising … but at least one of them is.
‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’ will undoubtedly be quite the spectacle, and it’s not the only huge movie Disney has lined up for 2015, either. The studio sent out a press release today detailing their major 2015 movie releases, and seeing all of those film titles on one list is kind of dizzying—like, Disney is going to make some big bank next year. Included in the release is a new sneak peek at ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron,’ which features the whole Avengers crew gathered in one place, and then some.
T-minus one week and counting until 2015 —and now that we’ve finally put our 2014 top-ten lists to bed, it’s time to turn our attention to the new year. From the looks of things so far, it should be a good one.

Joss Whedon is tired. It’s just about halfway through the shoot for ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’ in London, and Whedon doesn’t as much sit down for our interview as he does collapse into a chair. It’s a bright and sunny day in London, but he looks like he hasn’t seen the sunshine in weeks. He’s completely wiped out—”raggedy” as he puts it—by his schedule, which he describes thusly: “I do this, I go home, I rewrite, I go to sleep. I do this, I go home, I rewrite, I go to sleep.”
Just yesterday, the reveal of a new Iron Man toy gave us out first glimpse of the character’s new armor in the upcoming ‘The Avengers 2.’ The trend of toys jumping the gun continues today: a German ad for the first wave of LEGO sets based on Joss Whedon’s superhero team-up sequel has made its way online and it may very well tease some setpieces and concepts that haven’t been present in any of the trailers thus far.
As major movie productions keep on getting more secretive, even the best laid plans keep on getting foiled by one thing: merchandising. Yes, hide you costumes and characters and plot points all you want, because when the toys arrive, all bets are off! The latest casualty in this very silly war is Iron Man’s new armor (the Mark XLIII), which was supposedly going to make its debut at some point in ‘Avengers 2’ but can now be clearly seen, examined, and salivated over in toy form.
Everyone has assumed that, at some point towards the end of this current Marvel Cinematic Universe, the paths of the Guardians of the Galaxy and Avengers would cross. Yes, one superhero team is busy protecting Earth, and the other occupied in outer space, it makes too much sense to not have them meet up in ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ right? Never mind the “it makes sense” part, we just really want this to happen. Well, we might never happen according to ‘Guardians’ director James Gunn who warns fans about making such assumptions.
‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ season 2 brought the unique benefit of standing outside any major Marvel cinematic upsets, as only ‘The Avengers: Age of Ultron’ will arrive during the ABC drama’s run. And where ‘Captain America: The Winter Soldier’ dramatically impacted the series, ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ has been confirmed to tie into the ‘Avengers’ sequel as well.
