Avengers: Age of Ultron

'Avengers 2' is the sequel to the blockbuster Marvel crossover film, 'The Avengers,' the 2nd highest-grossing film of all-time. 'Avengers 2' will see Iron Man, Thor, Hulk, Black Widow, Hawkeye, Captain America and Nick Fury reuniting and teaming with two powerful new members - Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch - to take on one of the most powerful villains in the universe: Ultron.

When Tony Stark tries to jumpstart a dormant peacekeeping program, things go awry and Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, including Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, The Incredible Hulk, Black Widow and Hawkeye, are put to the ultimate test as the fate of the planet hangs in the balance. As the villainous Ultron emerges, it is up to the Avengers to stop him from enacting his terrible plans, and soon uneasy alliances and unexpected action pave the way for an epic and unique global adventure.

'Avengers 2' will also see the addition of Vision, the humanoid superhero created by Ultron from Tony Stark's JARVIS operating system.

Most Pirated Films of 2015 Feature Zero Surprises
Here’s a top 10 list that’s not so fun: 2015 saw a huge surge in film piracy, as the most pirated film of the year had 55 percent more downloads than 2014's more pirated film. This year’s most frequently illegally downloaded titles offer few — if any — surprises, and include the biggest blockbuster films of the year, like Furious 7 and Jurassic World, as well as a few of last year’s most popular studio offerings.

Major blockbusters typically don’t get much love at the Oscars — superhero films and major, geeky sci-fi and action properties rarely (if ever) get Best Picture or acting nods, but the Academy does tend to recognize their technical achievements, often including them in the Best Visual Effects category. This year’s shortlist for that particular award is filled with Marvel movies, dinosaurs, and a certain Star Wars film most of us haven’t even seen yet.

The gender wage gap is an issue that affects women in almost every single career field, but it’s recently become a more high-profile issue as actors have been speaking out about their income disparity. Jennifer Lawrence recently penned an essay on the subject, with actors like Emily Blunt, Emma Watson, Jessica Chastain and even Bradley Cooper chiming in. And while the wage gap battle rages on, here’s one you can add to the winning column: Scarlett Johansson made more money than the majority of her male co-stars in Avengers: Age of Ultron.

Tom Hiddleston on Why Loki Was Cut From ‘Age of Ultron’
There are so many characters and so much going on in Avengers: Age of Ultron, making it Marvel’s biggest film to date. But there was one character who was sorely missed: Tom Hiddleston’s charismatic villain Loki, who didn’t have so much as a cameo appearance in the film — not that they had much room for him. As it turns out, Loki was in an earlier cut of Age of Ultron, but Joss Whedon removed his brief cameo in post-production.

Now that Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Season 3 has kicked off the Inhuman invasion with a bang, and Jessica Jones busts up enough bars to cross Daredevil’s radar, Marvel TV has never stood taller against its cinematic brethren. Crossovers haven’t exactly been a two-way street however, even as Kevin Feige calls it “inevitable,” with a kingly big bad in mind for our new Spider-Man.

Did You Catch That ‘Buffy’ Easter Egg Joss Whedon Hid in ‘Avengers 2'?
Joss Whedon once said that there “aren’t a ton of Easter eggs” in Avengers 2, saying “It’s so hard for me to make a movie, especially this movie, I don’t spend a lot of time going, ‘You know what else would be hilarious?!’” But, it turns out that Whedon just couldn’t resist himself and for those paying very, very close attention, you’ll notice a clever nod to the Buffyverse.
