Case in point, HBO’s epic adaptation has snagged a fourth year as TV’s most pirated series, while newcomers like Supergirl also eke their way onto the list.

Increasingly rare as a broadcast success story, The Big Bang Theory will no less come to an end sometime in the next few years, already pushing past most sitcom shelf-lives midway through its ninth season. CBS has already contracted the egghead comedy through a tenth year, but is The Big Bang Theory coming to an official close thereafter?

Marvel may be sitting out Comic-Con 2015 (at least on the movies side) but good grief if DC isn’t pumping everything they have into San Diego this year, big screen and small. Warner Bros. TV has set a whopping 18 shows to have a presence at Comic-Con, including another “Superhero Saturday Night” for the likes of Arrow, The Flash, Gotham, Legends of Tomorrow, Supergirl and more.

CBS’ Supergirl series suffered something of a mishap in leaking its pilot just days after being picked up to series, and now Superman’s cousin at last has a proper arrival ahead. The network will premiere DC’s newest TV superhero in October, also setting premiere dates for The Big Bang Theory, Limitless and more.

It’s only Monday, meaning if you’re already tired of the many 2015 Upfront renewals, cancellations and pickups, CBS is not for you. The eye network has given pickup orders to over a dozen of its existing series, including The Good Wife, Elementary, The Odd Couple, and telling move for CSI’s Cyber spinoff.

The ease with which we access TV becomes more ubiquitous every year, but some shows will always top out demand for piracy. Now, for the third year in a row, HBO’s ‘Game of Thrones’ has topped TorrentFreak’s annual list of pirated TV show downloads, though a few of the entries on this year’s countdown might actually surprise you.

HBO surprised the TV world yesterday with the announcement of a standalone streaming option for the reclusive network, but it isn't the only TV giant looking to secure a streaming future. CBS has announced (and launched) its own pay-service to give non-cable users access to their library of content, calling the new innovation "CBS Access."

Well, no major changing of the guard here, as actor Jim Parsons tonight takes home the Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series award at the 2014 Emmy Awards for his role as brilliant 'Big Bang Theory' egghead Sheldon Cooper.
