Whether or not you’ve grown tired of TV’s increasing tendency to reboot or revive old properties, here’s something ironically Fresh: Will Smith’s breakout sitcom The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air has a reboot of sorts in the works, with Big Willie himself bringing style as an executive producer.

It brings us great sadness to report this news on the first day of the New Year -- James Avery, the beloved actor who portrayed Uncle Phil on the hit '90s sitcom 'The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air,' has passed away at the age of 68. Avery, who passed away late last night in Los Angeles, was an actor known for his warmth, and continued to appear on many TV shows over the years after 'Fresh Prince' concluded.

Will Smith may be the biggest movie star in the world, but his millions of fans will never let him forget his humble beginnings as the star of 'The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.' While in England to promote the release of 'Men in Black 3,' Smith was coerced into performing the show's iconic theme song on 'The Graham Norton Show.' And yeah, it's kind of awesome.
