We've got even more David Fincher news for you today -- 'The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo' sequel, 'The Girl Who Played with Fire,' is getting a rewrite from Fincher's 'Seven' scribe Andrew Kevin Walker, but it looks like Fincher might be too busy to helm the sequel thanks to 'Gone Girl.'
The Girl Who Played with Fire
It's been a decent while since 'The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo' premiered in theaters, launching Rooney Mara into stardom and giving Daniel Craig yet another beefy role to add to his resume. Despite the less-than-expected box office numbers, Sony was and still is planning the next sequel, 'The Girl Who Played With Fire.' So what's taking so long? Well, apparently they're weighing whether or not to cut Craig's character out of the script.
One of the 2011's most hyped films was David Fincher's 'The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.' An adaptation of the hit novel (and remake of the Swedish film), it was hoped that Fincher and company would be adapting the trilogy of books for the big screen. But the follow up, 'The Girl Who Played With Fire,' won't be ready until 2014 at the earliest.
