It's expected that box office numbers go up on Sunday afternoon. By that point, the estimates tend to be pretty accurate and if there is a difference come Monday morning, it's negligible. Not so today. Three new releases are nearly deadlocked as I write this and we won't know until sometime tomorrow who will actually be one top. We shall update accordingly. Anyway, here's where we stand right now.
The House at the End of the Street
It's the end of the summer, and thus the end of the big blockbusters, but before we head into awards season we're getting a handful of horror flicks to hold our hand through the fall -- like 'The House at the End of the Street,' starring Jennifer Lawrence. Check out this new clip and featurette to help get you better acquainted with the film.
Oscar-nominated actress Jennifer Lawrence is getting to be quite the genre-hopper. After tackling superhero movies with 'X-Men: First Class' and sci-fi with 'The Hunger Games,' the young star has now turned her attention to horror and now we have an official poster for her first horror film, 'House at the End of the Street'.
Jennifer Lawrence is doing it backwards. Beautiful starlets are supposed to do the gratuitous, sleazy horror film before they land the plum role in a massive franchise. Yet as Lawrence’s ‘The Hunger Games’ dominates the box office, the Oscar nominee teases her upcoming horror-thriller ‘House at the End of the Street’ with the first full trailer.
