Comic-Con 2014 has brought us yet another delightful treat: the first full trailer for 'The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1.' With the film's release only four months away, it's time to ignite the rebellion as we return to Panem with Katniss and Co. in the first part of the riveting conclusion to the trilogy.
The Hunger Games
Cutting through all of the badly photoshopped posters emerging from Comic-Con 2014 is the latest one-sheet for 'The Hunger Games: Mockingjay,' which manages to stand out because it's stylish and doesn't feature its main character standing with his back to the camera while random debris flies around for no reason. In fact, this poster doesn't feature Katniss Everdeen or Peeta Mellark at all.
'The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1' trailer is ready to debut at Comic-Con 2014 next week, but not in the traditional Hall H setting. What?! No epic grandstanding? That's right! Instead of waiting all day (and sometimes all night) for a seat to a 'Hunger Games' panel, your first look at footage will be coming instead from Samsung's Galaxy Tab S.
President Snow is back with another message for the citizens of Panem. After the first 'Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Part 1' teaser video hit the airwaves, showing us Peeta Mellark (Josh Hutcherson) seemingly siding with the tyrannical President Snow (Donald Sutherland), a new presidential address debuted -- before ultimately getting hijacked by the rebels of District 13.
'The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Part 1' continues its streak of viral marketing with a message from President Snow himself (played by Donald Sutherland) as he addresses the citizens of Panem with Katniss' District 12 cohort and love interest Peeta Mellark (Josh Hutcherson) by his side. While this, along with its TheCapitol.pn homebase, may seem like a fun way of promoting the film, it actually points to a plot point to come in the movie.
The posters and marketing material for the 'Hunger Games' movies set themselves apart with their unique artistic flourishes, and the latest round of promotional posters for 'Mockingjay - Part 1,' the first part of the final chapter in the saga, are the most visually stunning pieces we've seen from the franchise. Featuring heroes from every district, these Panem propaganda posters have us even more pumped for all the craziness that's gonna go down in the final two films.
When news broke yesterday morning that Gwendoline Christie joined the cast of 'Star Wars: Episode 7,' there really couldn't be anything cooler (except that maybe also Lupita Nyong'o is joining her; #TrueDetectiveSeason2). Best known for her role as badass Brienne of Tarth on 'Game of Thrones,' Christie also recently joined the cast of 'The Hunger Games: Mockingjay' films. 'Star Wars,' 'Game of Thrones,' and 'The Hunger Games'?! She's dominating our favorite franchises and quickly becoming one of our new favorites, thanks to her commitment to playing strong women.
We've been aware of Lionsgate's plans to expand the 'Hunger Games' movie universe into the theme park arena for some time, but as Marvel unleashes its interactive Avengers-themed "S.T.A.T.I.O.N." at Discovery Time Square in NYC, the studio behind...
Earlier today, Lionsgate released our first official look at 'The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Part 1,' the third installment of the blockbuster franchise led by Jennifer Lawrence. Not only did we get our first look at newcomer Julianne Moore as District 13's President Coin, we also glimpsed the late Philip Seymour Hoffman, who passed away before finishing his work and would reportedly be inserted into more scenes through special effects. To calm fans' nerves a bit, however, director Francis Lawrence has finally addressed the matter.

Julianne Moore joins the already star-studded cast, led by Jennifer Lawrence, as President Coin, leader of District 13.
