The Inhumans

Marvel’s The Inhumans has been playing in IMAX theaters for the better part of a few days now, and the results are … not great. The TV-minded among us will see the full premiere on September 29, but in the meantime, check out a fresh premiere clip featuring Black Bolt and a somewhat-spoilery Medusa.

Can’t be criticized for bad hair effects if there’s no hair to criticize. Yes, Marvel’s Inhumans is shearing down the days until its IMAX premiere, and with it comes a spoiler-filled trailer that sees the Queen of Attilan looking a bit less Medusa and a bit more Sinead.

ABC had the chance to take a run at Jessica Jones long before Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. or the Marvel Netflix series, and another opportunity may have come around. The network is said to be working a new female-led Marvel TV series in the vein of our favorite alcoholic private investigator.

It was admittedly nerve-wracking to be an Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. fan in May, as ABC took their time confirming a Season 5 renewal against The Inhumans. We were lucky to get the full twenty-two episodes, and ready to wait until midseason, but ABC now claims we’ll get uninterrupted Agents only a few weeks later than usual.

Marvel’s The Inhumans hasn’t inspired tremendous confidence by its early showings, and fans aren’t the only ones concerned. Even pilot director Roel Reiné admits the first-look trailer for the ABC IMAX drama was pretty uninspiring, and unfinished to boot.

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. fans’ Season 5 concerns were alleviated with word of a full fifth order, albeit one relegated to midseason. The Marvel drama suffered another setback with exclusion from Comic-Con 2017, but stars and producers promise S.H.I.E.L.D. a grand return in New York.
