When 'X-Men: Days of Future Past' opens in theaters next summer, Hugh Jackman will have starred as Wolverine in seven different movies. It's a feat few actors have done before (see: Leonard Nimoy, Daniel Radcliffe and Desmond Llewelyn) and impressive that an actor of Jackman's caliber would stick with one character for so long. But, as Jackman enters talks with 20th Century Fox for yet another movie (a follow-up to this summer's successful 'The Wolverine'), we have to ask, is it time for Jackman and Logan to part ways?

'The Wolverine' was one of the most pleasant surprises of the 2013 summer movie season, but a newly released deleted ending gives us a look at a very cool moment that seems to have barely missed getting into the final cut. [Note: since there's footage of the film's final moments, there are spoilers.]

Hugh Jackman wish he knew how to quit playing Wolverine.
While the Oscar-nominated actor made a lot of noise about 'The Wolverine' and 'X-Men: Days of Future Past' being his last as the superhero character, Jackman and director James Mangold, are both in talks to return for 'The Wolverine 2,' a movie that hopefully gets a much better title than that.

'The Wolverine' was one of the most pleasant surprises of the summer, a shockingly low key and self-contained superhero story that valued its characters above action. Well, at least until the third act, but that's a complaint for another time and place. The good news is that 'The Wolverine' DVD and Blu-ray will arrive on December 3 with an unrated version, allowing for more Wolverine-stabs-ninjas action than ever before!

'The Wolverine' was a vast improvement over 'X-Men Origins: Wolverine,' so naturally the critical success of the latest entry in the Wolverine film saga has everyone speculating on the possibility of further appearances from the berserker mutant in the franchise. While there have been rumors that star Hugh Jackman signed a multi-film deal to reprise his signature role, the actor is laughing them off.

With 'The Wolverine' currently in theaters, all eyes are on Marvel's indestructible X-Man and his iconic claws. Although the berserking mutant warrior has always appeared as a squat, hairy Canadian grump on the page and as an astoundingly fit, hairy Australian Hugh Jackman on the screen, the cosplay world doesn't care about boundaries. Ladies and gentlemen, meet the female Wolverine!

Which X-Man Almost Made It Into 'The Wolverine'?

Arguably one of the most successful differences between James Mangold's 'The Wolverine' and Gavin Hood's flop of an 'X-Men Origins' tale was preventing the floodgate of various mutant appearances from diluting the story of Logan. The new character additions worked well, and aside from the post-credits scene, which saw the return of a couple familiar faces, Famke Janssen's Jean Grey was the only mutant from movies past. However, screenwriter Mark Bomback originally tried to squeeze in another well-known character into the film but ultimately scrapped the idea.

By now you’ve likely heard the rumor that Marvel is set to offer Hugh Jackman approximately $100 million to reprise his Wolverine character at least four more times beyond 'X-Men: Days of Future Past.' We all love Hugh, and we all love Wolverine, but we’ve still got to ask: Is Jackman as Wolverine really worth that kind of money?

During the production of 'The Wolverine,' star Hugh Jackman constantly hinted that his time with the indestructible mutant superhero was coming to an end once he wraps the upcoming 'X-Men: Days of Future Past.' Of course, Fox wasn't going to let one of their most valuable commodities go without a fight, so the big question was how big of a check they were going to cut to try and keep Jackman.
Now, we have an idea and it's the kind of deal that will make your modest bank account roll over and weep.
