The teaser trailer for 'The Woman in Black: Angel of Death' puts the emphasis on the tease, showing off very little actual footage but a whole lot of atmosphere. And that's for the best: with no big name star this time around, the sequel is going to sell itself on its horror, not the fact that a grown-up Harry Potter is leading the show.
The Woman In Black
Daniel Radcliffe’s horror vehicle ‘The Woman in Black’ didn’t lend itself to a natural sequel for spoiler-ish reasons that we can't get into here. But when the January thriller banked $127 million in worldwide grosses, a continuation of the chilling story seemed like a good idea to CBS Films and Hammer Productions.
‘The Woman In Black’ was a modest hit for CBS Films and Hammer Studios, earning $112.6 million from Daniel Radcliffe fans curious to see how the actor would fare in the post-‘Harry Potter’ age. They’re not ‘Hunger Games’ numbers, but they’re strong enough to justify a sequel, which apparently is going into production soon.
