'The Hangover Part 3' Star Ken Jeong To Have a Bigger Role in Sequel

'The Hangover' series of films have been two of the most financially successful comedies to ever hit the big screen. The first movie that came out in 2009 was a surprise hit, and a sequel quickly followed in 2011. Now there's a third 'Hangover' in the works, and co-star Ken Jeong will be featured in an expanded role.

Todd Phillips keeps busy. He's currently working on 'The Hangover Part III,' recently teamed with Danny McBride for a project, and has just hired Mark and Jay Duplass to adapt the novel 'Mule.' The latter would be about a young couple who go into the drug running business because the recession.

Though the response to 'The Hangover Part II' was tepid, the film made $581 million worldwide, which meant that a third film was all but assured. Warner Brothers confirmed that certainty today with a new release date for 'The Hangover Part 3' plus word from director Todd Phillips told that it will be the series finale.
