'Jack Reacher' Trailer: Tom Cruise Kicks Some Ass

EDIT

When Tom Cruise was cast as Jack Reacher in Christopher McQuarrie's adaptation of Lee Child's novel, 'One Shot' (which has since been retitled to 'Jack Reacher'), fans of the character were none too pleased. Written as a 6'5" man with a fifty inch chest and the ability to kill his foes with a single punch, Cruise seemed all kinds of wrong for Child's soldier-turned-drifter protagonist. With the arrival of a the first 'Jack Reacher' trailer, we can all see first hand how Cruise looks in the role.

The first official image of Tom Cruise in character as 'Jack Reacher' has debuted and while it doesn’t address the burning concerns of rabid Reacher fans who claim Cruise is too short to play their beloved anti-hero, it does give us plenty of ammunition for further arguments while we wait for the film to reach us in December.

'Rock of Ages' Review

The phrase "80's rock" calls certain things to mind: big voices playing big arenas singing big power ballads to big crowds with big hair. Bigness in all its forms, in other words, was the key to the era. And it's this part of the 80s rock scene that the new musical 'Rock of Ages' gets right -- maybe a little too right.
This film is one towering tribute to excess. Clocking in at over two hours and featuring 900 songs (approximate), it feels like an entire decade of music crammed into one supremely excessive movie. They didn't pour some sugar on this thing; they poured the whole friggin' box. And then they lit the box on fire and threw up some mock-sinister devil horns.

Poll: What's the Best Song On the 'Rock of Ages' Soundtrack?

'Rock of Ages' is unlike most movie musicals you'll see because with this film, you have most of the songs on your iPod already. You grew up listening to Whitesnake, Guns N Roses, Def Leppard and Poison and the only difference now is that Julianne Hough, Diego Boneta, Russell Brand and more are singing the lyrics.
It's interesting to hear what the actors we love like – Paul Giamatti, Catherine Zeta-Jones, and Mary J. Blige who are also apart of this phenomenal cast - sound like when they sing some of our favorite songs from the 80’s like - 'Don’t Stop Believin' and 'I Wanna Rock'. We want to know what you think of all the 'Rock of Ages' cover songs and which one is your favorite.

Ever since it first came on the radar, we've been hearing that writer/director Paul Thomas Anderson's new film 'The Master' is a thinly-veiled look at the secretive religion known as Scientology. And now it appears that Anderson has shown the movie to the world's most famous living Scientologist.

It's easy to get angry about a remake, but it's harder to get angry about a remake of a remake. Especially a remake of something that's been remade several times. Word is that MGM has Tom Cruise attached to head up a new version of 'The Magnificent Seven,' a film that was based on Akira Kurosawa's 'Seven Samurai.'
