Last night, Justin Timberlake hosted 'Saturday Night Live' for the fifth time, forever cementing him as one of the immortal show's greatest and most enduring guest hosts. Rather than give us a traditional opening monologue, Timberlake welcomed everyone to the show and immediately whisked us away to the Fiver Timers Club, where all of the great SNL hosts get to hang out...and where Dan Aykroyd is the bartender.

'Cloud Atlas' Review

EDIT
by Matt Singer October 25, 2012 @ 7:50 AM
Warner Bros.
Trying to review 'Cloud Atlas' an hour after you've seen it is like trying to recite the Bible from memory after you've read it for the first time. I'll definitely be able to cover the big points, but the fine details are going to get lost: there's no way to take it all in on just one viewing.
Whatever its missteps, directors Tom Tykwer, and Andy and Lana Wachowski have crafted a staggeringly ambitious piece of cinema -- or really six pieces of cinema, strung together and interwoven and speaking to one another in all kinds of ways. Sitting here a short while after I saw it for the first time, I can't really say I fully understand a lot of the "why" -- why this character is so important to the fate of humanity, or why that character needs to activate that particular device -- but the "what" is always so compelling, I was happy to be puzzled. I still am.

His latest stunt came courtesy of 'Late Night With Jimmy Fallon' in the form of some 'Full House'-themed slam poetry. Watch his riveting performance after the jump.

by Damon Houx October 23, 2012 @ 12:13 AM
'Cloud Atlas' opens Friday, and it's the sort of picture that will have people raving about it, one way or the other. Our own Matt Singer gave it an 8 out of 10, where others are calling it one of the best films of the year. The actors involved seemed to love making it, or at least that's the impression they give in this new featurette.

For many people, 'Cloud Atlas' is going to be a tough sell: ambitious, oddball New Age-y science fiction is the not the kind of thing that brings in the box office receipts. However, this is an ambitious, oddball New Age-y science fiction movie that also features a stunning ensemble of incredible actors. Naturally, the new poster chooses to emphasize that fact.
