Last we checked, Tom Hanks was a pretty awesome guy. Hold on, let's check back in with Mr. Hanks this morning. OK, so he's hanging out with college kids at a pizza place posing for series of crazy photos? Yup. Tom Hanks is still awesome.

Tom Hanks is one of the few Hollywood mega-stars we’d trust with our nation’s history. No offense, major A-listers, but handsome doesn’t always equal intelligent. But Hanks has flexed his obsessive interest in historical events in outstanding films and dramas series such as ‘Band of Brothers,’ ‘Saving Private Ryan’ and ‘Apollo 13.’ And a new report suggests Hanks is ready to tackle one of America’s top controversies: The JFK assassination.
We told you. Yesterday, when we shared the first official images from ‘Cloud Atlas,’ we predicted that a trailer likely would be right behind. Lo and behold, here it is: A six-minute 'Cloud Atlas' trailer highlighting the visually inventive collaboration between Tom Tykwer and the Wachowskis.
It's been a big day for 'Cloud Atlas' news as it's been confirmed for the Toronto International Film Festival, and has already previewed two photos. Now there's twenty more photos, and it seems like we'll probably be seeing a trailer soon. It also gives a better look at the international cast.
At best, ‘Cloud Atlas’ sounds ambitious. At worst, it sounds exhausting. An adaptation of David Mitchell’s 2004 novel, the movie heads to theaters in October after stopping off for celebrated premieres at the Toronto International Film Festival (and possible screenings in Venice and Telluride). As we get closer to release, Warner Bros. will want to let audiences know what they are in store for, and so we’re getting a few early images.
Tom Hanks created and stars in a new animated web series called 'Electric City,' and we've got the first official peek at the new show that none of you knew about until right this second.
Sounds like someone explained the meaning of “EGOT” to Tom Hanks. If you watch ’30 Rock,’ you know that the slang refers to the select few who’ve won an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony Award. Seeing as how Hanks has two Oscars and an Emmy (for ‘The Pacific’), he’s setting his sights on a Tony by taking a lead role in a Broadway show.
Tom Hanks could be playing Walt Disney in 'Saving Mr. Banks,' which is not a sequel to the Hanks-starring 'Saving Private Ryan,' but a film about the making of the film 'Mary Poppins.' 'Banks' will be directed by John Lee Hancock, and the role of P.L. Travers - the author of 'Mary Poppins' - has been offered to Emma Thompson.
