The fifth season of ‘True Blood' practically has us in a bloody puddle on the floor, as Russell Edgington is once again on the loose, and more and more supernatural factions seem to complicate matters, as in last week’s “Hopeless.” So before ‘True Blood’ gushes out its seventh episode “In the Beginning” this Sunday, July 22, how would you like an early taste?
'True Blood' is the only show on television that can have too much going on and nothing going on all at once. Out of the eight shows within the show, none of them seem to be advancing the plot, and by advancing the plot we mean giving us more Russell Edgington. Thankfully we don't have to wait in the dark till Sunday to find out how these two story lines progress. Two new clips from 'True Blood's' upcoming episode "Hopeless" have done that for us.
There were many sides to the infamous controversy surrounding 'Game of Thrones' season1 finale "Fire and Blood" utilizing a prop head of former president George W. Bush in the background, but one thing was for certain: HBO was not amused. The episode was pulled from all formats, and re-edited to remove the image, but has 'True Blood' now created the same offense by featuring masks bearing the likeness of President Obama?
This week's episode of 'True Blood,' titled "Let's Boot and Rally" (whatever that means), continues the long-standing tradition of separating itself into smaller shows within a show. Our favorite is the Bill and Eric Power Hour, followed closely by Words of Wisdom with Pam.
Let's take a look at the good, the bad and the worst this week had to offer.
