Yes, following his work on HBO’s The Brink, former Daily Show correspondent Aasif Mandvi has landed himself two shiny new gigs, one busting hackers for USA’s Mr. Robot, the other as a sinister uncle to Netflix’s Series of Unfortunate Events. I smell crossover!

Given how great a surprise the whole first season of USA’s Mr. Robot turned out to be, it stands to reason each Season 2 announcement proves more unexpected than the last. Following some recent additions, The Office star and Hot Tub time-traveler Craig Robinson has joined Mr. Robot Season 2 in a surprising new role.

Not only have two fan-favorites been elevated to regular for Season 2, but also the latest additions tease some surprising developments for Elliot and the terrifying Joanna.

The 2016 Golden Globes have been nothing if not consistent with surprises, and following all the unexpected Mozart in the Jungle love, the Best TV Drama went far more reasonably. USA breakout Mr. Robot is your new winner for 2016's Best TV drama, and deservedly so.

USA hacker drama Mr. Robot made a tremendous impression throughout its inaugural season, one the Golden Globes clearly shared this morning, and Season 2 may yet prove even more focused. The series’ unique visual style will be in full swing, as creator Sam Esmail has opted to direct the entire ten-episode season himself, a significant increase over last year.

A culmination of its breakout critical success, USA hacker drama Mr. Robot had previously scheduled to air its first season finale later tonight, but has now been delayed. USA issued a press release postponing the broadcast over “similar” depicted events to the tragic on-air shootings that occurred in Virginia early Wednesday morning.
