Over the decades, the 'Star Trek' franchise has been a lot of things, but it's never really been about action. Director JJ Abrams pushed this universe in that direction with his 2009 reboot, but there's no denying it with 'Star Trek Into Darkness': this thing is an action movie through and through. Two newly released images from the film do little to change that particular perception.

Part of the burden that comes with something as big as 'Star Wars: Episode 7' is the constant chatter of which stars might be boarding a "galaxy far, far away." Thanks to J.J. Abrams' involvement in the new trilogy, everyone's been wondering whether or not he'll be bringing over some of his 'Star Trek Into Darkness' talent into the new 'Star Wars' universe.
