'Texas Chainsaw 3D,' the latest edition to Tobe Hooper's 'Texas Chainsaw Massacre' franchise, hit theaters recently and emerged as the top box office earner this past weekend. While some critics thought this new chapter would bomb, thereby bringing an end to the classic collection of horror movies, we thought it made for a good edition. And so apparently did the studio, as word has leaked out that a sequel will be coming our way.

'Texas Chainsaw 3D' follows Alexandria Daddario, who discovers she's adopted and road trips to Texas with her friends to take ownership of a house she inherited, in which lies our favorite chainsaw-wielding, human flesh-wearing villain Leatherface! As this past weekend's box office results will tell you, the film hit a high note with approximately $23 million, topping the weekend sales for 'Django Unchained,' 'The Hobbit' and 'Les Miserables.'

Such success warrants a reward, which reportedly came in the form of a go ahead for another 'Texas Chainsaw' film. Bloody Disgusting was the first to hear about the news, and also reports of a deal for seven 'TCM' movies, including '3D.' Of course, whether or not these films will actually go into production rests on the success of the priors, but so far the continuing series seems to be in good shape.

So what do you think? Are you ready to see Leatherface return for another 'Texas Chainsaw' movie? Let us know what you think about the news in the comments below.
