Just last week we showed you the official poster for 'Texas Chainsaw 3D,' the sequel to Tobe Hooper's 1974 horror classic 'The Texas Chainsaw Massacre.' And now comes the first official photo from the film, featuring a very sad Leatherface.

The first photo comes courtesy of Shock Til You Drop, and you can see the full image below. In it, we get a look at Leatherface from behind as he walks toward the meat packing plant, clutching his chainsaw. It kind of reminds us of Bruce Banner hitchhiking at the end of the 'Incredible Hulk' TV series.

'Texas Chainsaw 3D' dismisses the sequels following the original film, as well as the remake and the prequel to the remake, and instead acts as a direct sequel to the original Tobe Hooper film. Turns out that the people in the small town of Newt, Texas had been speculating that the Sawyer family was responsible for a series of missing persons cases spanning several decades. Those feelings were confirmed when Sally escaped their clutches at the end of the first film, inspiring them to rally around the family's home and burn it to the ground, killing everyone inside -- or so they thought. Now many years later, a young woman named Heather inherits her family's beautiful, aging Victorian home in Newt, Texas, only to discover some horrific secrets hidden in the cellar.

The film brings back 'Texas Chainsaw Massacre' stars Gunnar Hansen, Marilyn Burns, and Bill Moseley (from the second film), as well as newcomers Alexandra Daddario, Tania Raymonde, Scott Eastwood, and noted character actor Richard Riehle. 'Texas Chainsaw 3D' hits theaters in January, 2013.
