Controversy alert! The History Channel's new 10-part miniseries 'The Bible' has already become a hit. It's apparently so good that even conservative political personality Glenn Beck can't seem to find anything to pick apart, calling it "one of the most important shows in decades." Oh wait! He did mention a striking similarity between Satan and President Barack Obama.

Beck sent out a tweet this past weekend, asking, "Anyone else think the Devil in #TheBible Sunday on HIstory Channel looks exactly like That Guy?" attached with a screenshot of actor Mohamen Mehdi Ouazanni in full Satan makeup. Naturally, a lot of people are in a tizzy, which is kind of hysterical in that they just assumed Beck was referring to Obama and not some other "That Guy." So perhaps there is a similarity some of us just aren't seeing? So far History has stayed out of it, but we'll see if they feel the need to release a statement.

UPDATE: "HISTORY channel has the highest respect for President Obama," said the network in a statement. "The series was produced with an international and diverse cast of respected actors. It's unfortunate that anyone made this false connection. HISTORY’s ‘The Bible’ is meant to enlighten people on its rich stories and deep history."

As far as Executive Producers Mark Burnett and Roma Downey are concerned, the comparison is "utter nonsense" and is a "foolish distraction to try and discredit the beauty of the story of The Bible."
