Granted 'The Big Bang Theory' already made its 2013 return to monster ratings (a record-breaking 19 million viewers) with last week's "The Egg Salad Equivalency," this week's upcoming 'Star Trek'-themed episode "The Bakersfield Expedition" seems poised to take the CBS series over the limit once again. And while yesterday we teased the 'Star Trek: The Next Generation" homage from the episode, how would you like to see a full clip? Preview "The Bakersfield Expedition" inside!

This Thursday's all-new 'The Big Bang Theory' seems posed to take Leonard, Sheldon, Howard and Raj into the final frontier, but they'll need a bit of help getting there first. In the latest clip from Thursday's "The Bakersfield Expedition," the nerdly foursome begin their journey, but quickly find the trip intolerable thanks to Sheldon's latest machinations. Surprised yet?

From CBS' official press release:

“The Bakersfield Expedition” – While the guys take a road trip to a comic book convention dressed as “Star Trek: The Next Generation” characters, the girls stay home and try to interpret a comic book, on THE BIG BANG THEORY, Thursday, Jan. 24 (8:00 - 8:31 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

Judging by the photos released yesterday, we're guessing that the road trip doesn't exactly have the happiest of endings, trapping the gang in their embarrassing, if accurate Star Trek' getup. Check out a new clip from 'The Big Bang Theory's Thursday outing "The Bakersfield Expedition" below, and give us your predictions in the comments!
