Now that CG-animated films are more common, stop-motion has become more magical than it ever has before. Laika is a studio that built its name on doing this kind of work better than anyone else, creating modern gems like 'Coraline' and 'ParaNorman.' Can their latest effort, 'The Boxtrolls,' live up to their legacy? If the new teaser trailer is any indication, all signs point to yes.

The first teaser for 'The Boxtrolls' was little more than an announcement video. The second was a beautiful and unique look at the stop-motion process. This one, presumably the final teaser before a full-fledged look, is essentially a tone piece, showing off whimsical visuals and a cheerful attitude while still keeping the details of the plot fully under wraps. Set to a cover of "(You're So Square) Baby I Don't Care" by Cee Lo Green, it's a charming look at a movie that couldn't be more handsomely made.

The actual plot of the film deals with a young boy who was adopted and raised by the underground-dwelling creatures of the title who must journey to the surface world to save his strange family when they're faced with extermination. If the storytelling is half as good as the animation, we're there.

'The Boxtrolls' arrives in theaters on September 26.
