2K Games announced the first batch of story DLC for The Bureau: XCOM Declassified today, which will give us a glimpse at life at the Bureau before the invasion.

Players will take on the role of Agent DaSilva as he undergoes psychic experiments in the mysterious Hangar 6. DaSilva's squad has all been treated with a new chemical to help combat another agent who was dosed with the "Sleepwalker" pathogen.

"We took this opportunity to create an entirely different kind of player character from Carter, but we focused on keeping that same cool 60s vibe – albeit, the slightly altered vibe of 60s psycho-dynamic experimentation," said Harley White-Wiedow, lead designer on the DLC. "We did a lot of research on psychic and psychotropic military experiments of the 60s."

There will be new powers and abilities on display, and you'll also have a new AK-47 and prototype Microwave Gun to add to your arsenal. The Hangar 6 R&D add-on will be available to Xbox 360 players on Oct. 8 for $4.99. There's no word on when the content will be available on other platforms. While you wait, you can check out the first screens from the upcoming DLC.
