‘The Conjuring 2’ Scares Up a Teaser, First Trailer Arrives Tomorrow
The first trailer for James Wan’s sequel to The Conjuring arrives tomorrow, but until then you can sneak a very quick peek into the new haunted house via this short teaser / trailer announcement. In addition, Wan has offered a slightly longer teaser for The Conjuring 2 in case you’re feeling particularly anxious to join Ed and Lorraine Warren on their next spooky investigation.
Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga return as real-life paranormal researchers Ed and Lorraine Warren in The Conjuring 2, which takes the couple to London in the ’70s to investigate the Enfield Poltergeist. Like the first film, the sequel is also based on a true story, this time of a single mother and her children, who reported strange phenomena, demonic voices and possession in their home. The real case eventually came to a head when the kids claimed to have engineered the entire haunting, but it doesn’t seem likely that Wan’s film will reflect that conclusion.
Joining Wilson and Farmiga for the second paranormal outing are Madison Wolfe (Joy), Frances O’ Connor (A.I.), Simon McBurney (Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation) and Maria Doyle Kennedy (Orphan Black). Here’s the slightly longer and spookier teaser from Wan’s Facebook page:
Alright folks, you’ve been bugging me for this, time to conjure up the frightening next case of @theconjuringmovie’s Ed and Lorraine Warren!! #TheConjuring2 teaser trailer drops tomorrow! Meanwhile, here’s an appetizer. A teaser for the teaser, if you will :)
