‘The Flash’ Reveals Clearest Look Yet at Reverse Flash
Ever since The Flash first spied his yellow-suited arch-nemesis Reverse Flash in set photos, we’ve been anxious for a clearer look at the character. We’ve seen the sinister speedster (and his spoilery alter-ego) in several episodes now, but at last The Flash has revealed our first clear look at the Reverse Flash.
As revealed by The CW in prep for Barry Allen’s March 17 “Out of Time” return next week, the new poster finally ditches the character’s speedy vibration for a clear look at (spoiler alert!) Tom Cavanagh’s Harrison Wells suited up as the Reverse Flash. We don’t yet know everything about the character yet, or who else among the main cast he might have a comic connection to, though it’s certainly the clearest we’ve seen the character through the duration of the series.
So reads The Flash’s formal description of “Out of Time”:
LIAM MCINTYRE GUEST STARS AS THE WEATHER WIZARD; CISCO REALIZES DR. WELLS IS HIDING SOMETHING
Mark Mardon aka The Weather Wizard (guest star Liam McIntyre) appears in Central City intent on avenging his brother Clyde’s death, and sets his sights on Joe (Jesse L. Martin), who shot Clyde. When Mardon attacks Joe and Barry (Grant Gustin), Barry is able to super-speed them to safety but Mardon gets away. Barry warns Joe not to go after a meta-human alone but Joe doesn’t listen and ends up in grave danger.
Meanwhile, Cisco (Carlos Valdes) looks into the night the team captured the Reverse Flash and realizes something doesn’t add up and begins to wonder whether Joe was right about Dr. Wells (Tom Cavanagh). Barry and Linda (guest star Malese Jow) end up on an awkward double date with Eddie (Rick Cosnett) and Iris (Candice Patton).
Barry Allen will have plenty on his plate beyond Reverse Flash as well, the coming weeks to feature Weather Wizards, time-travel, Tricksters, Rogues and Bug-Eyed Bandits, to name a few. In the meantime, take a look at The Flash’s Reverse nemesis in the photo below, and stay tuned for the latest on the March 17 return!
