'The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug' has released a brand-new poster for the continuing the adventures of Bilbo (Martin Freeman) and his band of dwarves to slay the dragon Smaug. But what's more exciting is that Warner Bros. has revealed the new trailer will hit tomorrow, October 1!

While we were ecstatic to witness a slew of footage from the original teaser trailer that hit months ago, we're hoping for something a little more honed in for the upcoming trailer reveal. The new 'Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug' poster revealed by Warner Bros. does just that in teasing a scene many fans of the original J.R.R. Tolkien novel have no doubt been pining for. [HINT: It involves spiders!]

UPDATE: Warner Bros. released four additional banners for 'The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug,' featuring Lee Pace as Thranduil, Luke Evans as Bard the Bowman, the returning Ian McKellen as Gandalf the Grey, and Evangeline Lilly and Orlando Bloom as Tauriel and Legolas.

'The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug' furthers Bilbo and the dwarves' journey to the Misty Mountains to slay the dragon Smaug (voiced by 'Sherlock' and 'Star Trek Into Darkness' star Benedict Cumberbatch) and free their homeland from his hold. Aside from the returning cast members will also be appearances by Orlando Bloom's Legolas, Luke Evans' Bard the Bowman, Lee Pace's Thranduil and Evangeline Lilly's Tauriel (a character made just for the film).

Get a load of the new posters below, and check back tomorrow at 9 a.m. EST for the 'Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug' trailer premiere!
