We’ve seen the green-band trailer, we’ve seen the naughtier red-band trailer, and now we have the final, ultimate (and very last) trailer for the Seth Rogen and James Franco action comedy ‘The Interview,’ which features a whole lot more Kim Jong-un. According to James Franco’s character, he’s not so bad—he does give an adorable puppy as a gift (if this year’s film trends are any indication, that puppy’s life may be in danger), and he really digs Katy Perry.

Of course, the final trailer does offer up some things we’ve seen before, which is to be expected, but there’s plenty of humor here, and even though it’s a green band-friendly trailer, it does take things just up to the edge, especially with that Miley Cyrus joke. Franco and Rogen have proven their comedic chemistry time and again, but ‘The Interview’ puts them in the realm of something a little more action-oriented, boasting a film much bigger in scope and offering way more action than ‘This Is the End.’

Rogen once again co-writes and directs with Evan Goldberg as a follow-up to ‘This Is the End,’ and after they delivered on that film, we can’t wait to see how this one turns out, even without the support of that stellar ensemble. Rogen and Franco are joined by co-stars Lizzy Caplan, Randall Park, and Diana Bang in the new comedy about a celebrity tabloid journalist (Franco) who, along with his producer (Rogen), is sent to North Korea to interview Kim Jong-Un, who is a fan of their program. But the CIA intervenes and asks them to assassinate the leader, and that’s when things get pretty complicated.

‘The Interview’ hits theaters on December 25, and should make for a nice alternative to some of the more typical Christmas offerings.
