Just the other day we got one of our first looks into 'The Killing' season 3 with a photo of Peter Sarsgaard's mysterious incarcerated killer Ray Seward, but now the gruesome footage has really begun to bleed out. Our first trailer for the miraculously revived AMC murder-mystery drama's third season has arrived, and there looks to be way more death than even 'The Killing' would imply!

June 2 will see the long-awaited return of AMC's 'The Killing,' focusing on an all-new case that follows the Rosie Larsen murder chronicled over the first two seasons. This time around, Detective Holder (Joel Kinnaman) follows a gruesome new case that brings Linden (Mireille Enos) back into the fold, with connections that tie back to a mysterious, and brutal death-row inmate named Ray Seward (Sarsgaard)

Entertainment Weekly managed to obtain the first new full trailer for the season, which doesn't afford much speaking to Sarsgaard's character, but already puts a 'Killing' on the board for the sinister character. The new season of the AMC drama will open up a year after the close of the Rosie Larsen murder with Linden having left the force until Holder’s search for a runaway girl leads him to discover a gruesome string of murders that connects to Linden’s previous murder investigation. ‘The Killing’ season 3 understandably won’t involve the Larsen Family, nor will seasons 1 and 2 regular Mayor Darren Richmond (Billy Campbell) appear.

In addition to the casting of ‘BSG’ vet Aaron Douglas, ‘Flashpoint’s’ Hugh Dillon and Johnny Ray Gill, ‘The Killing’ season 3 also boasts Amy Semeitz, Max Fowler and Elias Koteas among its cast.
