'The Loved Ones' Trailer: Worst. Prom. Ever.

'The Loved Ones' is finally hitting theaters this summer courtesy of Paramount. The wicked little horror film - described as a cross between 'Sixteen Candles' and 'The Texas Chainsaw Massacre' - that blew up SXSW in 2010 has a brand new trailer to get you excited about this bloody prom flick.

Robin McLeavy stars as Lola, a spoiled psycho-brat who kidnaps boys and tortures them when they reject her because that's the rational way to deal with rejection. With the help of her dad (played by the splendid John Brumpton), Lola kidnaps Brent (Xavier Samuel) to teach him a lesson in how to treat a lady.

The release of 'The Loved Ones' has been a long time coming, but now thanks to Paramount and Tugg, you can set up screenings in your town this summer.

This new trailer is pretty fantastic and does a great job showing the humor that we haven't really seen in previous trailers, but it also sort of gives away some of the twistier stuff in the film's climax. Watch at your own discretion:
