‘The Man With the Iron Fists’ Gets an Animated Prequel

'The Man With the Iron Fists' definitely looks like a bit of a "kitchen sink" experience (with the RZA and the kung fu and the Russel Crowe and everything), so it's only natural that it has an animated prequel that can you watch below right now.

Told in simple animation reminiscent of old Asian art, the three-minute prequel serves as a basic introduction the bizarre, violent world of the upcoming film. Narrated by director and star RZA, the short video finds his character on his way to China aboard a slave ship, only to have a strange and brutal encounter once ashore. As far as unique promotional materials go, it's pretty cool -- it certainly has the feel of an old school kung fu movie and the art is pretty to look at.
