If you're an action movie fan and you haven't yet seen 2011's 'The Raid,' you should move that to the top of your priority list. Not just because it's one of the best action movies of the past few years, but because you'll want to be caught up when 'The Raid 2' opens this spring. We'll be getting an early look at 'The Raid 2' and the Sundance Film Festival, but if you're hungry for a sneak peek, you just need to check out this action-packed new trailer.

You might be thinking, "How exactly do you top 'The Raid'?" Well writer/director Gareth Evans has almost double the budget for his sequel and has added a solid 45 minutes on to the run time. Now, bigger and longer isn't always a recipe for success, but from the looks of this trailer, it certainly seems like the extra time and money have been used well. We can only imagine what that pic prison fight in the mud is going to be like on the big screen.

If you're unfamiliar...

Immediately following the events of the original, 'The Raid 2' tracks Officer Rama as he is pressured to join an anticorruption task force to guarantee protection for his wife and child. His mission is to get close to a new mob boss, Bangun, by befriending his incarcerated son, Uco. Rama must hunt for information linking Bangun with corruption in the Jakarta Police Department while pursuing a dangerous and personal vendetta that threatens to consume him and bring his mission--and the organized crime syndicate--down around him.

'The Raid 2' premieres next month at the Sundance Film Festival and opens in select theaters on March 28.
