A few weeks ago we were intrigued to hear that 'The Saint' was to be revived as a new series with former 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer' and genre darling Eliza Dushku, particularly with former 'Saint' and 007 Roger Moore producing. Now, we've gotten word Moore himself will appear in the series (which lacks a network yet), along with fellow former 'Saint' Ian Ogilvy. Find out what other major genre stars have joined the series inside!

There can be only one 'Saint,' but that won't stop the previous incarnations from joining Adam Rayner when he takes the titular role of 'The Saint' alongside Eliza Dushku. Deadline reports that in addition to executive producing the new incarnation, legendary UK actor and original 'The Saint' star Roger Moore will take a role in the series as Jasper.

Also joining the new effort is fellow former 'Saint' Ian Ogilvy playing the banker, having played Simon Templar in the 1978 British revival series 'Return Of The Saint.' ‘The Saint’ follows brilliant criminal Simon Templar (Rayner) as he uses his considerable skills as a modern-day Robin Hood, off-setting local law enforcement and pursuing his long-time romantic interest Patricia Holm (Dushku). No official network is yet attached to ‘The Saint,’ considered for the moment a backdoor pilot written by Jesse Alexander.

The series has amassed an impressive amount of supporting talent as well, including James Remar ('Dexter'), Enrique Murciano ('CSI'), Thomas Kretschmann ('Wanted'), Beatrice Rosen ('The Dark Knight'), Yani Gellman ('90210'), Greg Grunberg ('Heroes'), Michael Ornstein ('Sons Of Anarchy'), Sonalii Castillo ('Heroes'), Sammi Hanratty ('A Christmas Carol'), Oliver Bell ('The Sparticle Mystery'), Kirsty Mitchell ('Capone’s Boys'), and Jason Brooks ('Star Trek').

‘The Saint’ has already been adapted to 15 feature films, but would you watch a TV version with Eliza Dushku, and Roger Moore returning to the series? Sound off in the comments!
