'The Simpsons' may not be the attention-grabbing powerhouse it once was (except when they make epic 'Game of Thrones'-syle couch gags), but they're never lacking for a bit of classic nerd fan-service.

Former 'Star Trek: The Next Generation' star Brent Spiner announced months ago via his Twitter that he'd be lending his voice to an upcoming episode of 'The Simpsons,' playing appropriately enough, a robot, but today we get to see the first images from forthcoming March 18 'Simpsons' episode "Them, Robot."

According to the official synopsis from FOX, 'Them Robot" features Mr. Burns replacing all of Springfield Power Plant's employees with robots (voiced by Spiner), but deciding to keep Homer as the sole human worker. With the other workers' unemployment, Springfield becomes a dismal and humorless place until Homer's machine-programmed co-workers turn on the community and the plant's former real-life employees are forced to come to the rescue.

Spiner had previously lent his voice (along with the entire 'Star Trek: The Next Generation' cast) to 'Family Guy' episode "Not All Dogs Go to Heaven" but "Them, Robot" marks the first time the former Data appears on 'The Simpsons'.  FOX's favorite yellow family has hosted a number of other 'Star Trek' alum in past years, including Leonard Nimoy, George Takei, and Spiner's 'Next Generation' co-stars Patrick Stewart and Colm Meaney.

The first image from "Them, Robot" is above, but don't forget to scroll down and check out the second below, as Spiner's minions unleash Mr. Burns' very own hounds on him and Homer!
