The CW seems to have opened a hole in its fall lineup recently, removing 'Cult' off the schedule in a move that likely represents cancellation. And while 'The Vampire Diaries' has already been renewed for a fifth season, will upcoming backdoor pilot / spinoff 'The Originals' find a place on the lineup? The April 25 episode already has its own full poster, so check it out inside and learn what will happen when Klaus moves to New Orleans!

April 25 will see The CW undertaking an experiment to spin-off 'Vampire Diaries' fan-favorite character Klaus (Joseph Morgan) into his own series, via backdoor pilot episode "The Originals. Featuring Rebekah (Claire Holt), Elijah (Daniel Gilles) and newcomer Marcel (Charles Michael Davis), along with along with a number of others, today we've gotten our first look at the episode/spin-off's accompany poster, tagline "In New Orleans, the air is thick with blood," as well as accompanying description:

Acting on a mysterious tip that a plot is brewing against him in New Orleans, Klaus makes a trip to the town he and his family helped build. Klaus' questions lead him to a reunion with his former protégé, Marcel, a charismatic vampire who has total control over the human and supernatural inhabitants of New Orleans. Determined to help his brother find redemption, Elijah follows Klaus and soon learns that Hayley has also come to the French Quarter searching for clues to her family history, and has fallen into the hands of a powerful witch named Sophie.

Meanwhile, in Mystic Falls, Damon and Stefan continue with their plan for Elena, while Katherine (Nina Dobrev) reveals a surprising vulnerability to Rebekah and asks her to deliver a message.
