‘The Walking Dead’ “Internment” Preview Photos: Is This Hershel’s Last Stand?

The climax of this past week’s “Indifference” cemented that ‘The Walking Dead‘ season 4 has been curiously lacking in major deaths across the first five episodes, but will this Sunday’s “Internment” finally get the blood flowing? The first photos from the new episode have hit, and things look rather dire for Hershel as the elderly survivor tends to the wounded…

Not only did the first preview clip feature Hershel about to add another body to the pile of survivors claimed by the mysterious flu, but the photos released by AMC highlight even more casualties added to the dead, with a heavy highlight on the similarly-sick Hershel. Rick certainly looks to make it back in time with a bit of medicine, but what of Daryl, Michonne and the others?

We’re halfway through the 2013 run of ‘The Walking Dead’ season 4, with nary a peep from the Governor, or any other character supposedly popping up before the midseason finale, so will “Internment” be the bloodbath that thins out the herd? Will the virus claim the entirety of the Woodbury population, and Hershel along with it?

Check out the latest photos from ‘The Walking Dead’ season 4′s next installment below, and tell us in the comments if you think any major characters will fall this week!
