For as many photos and interviews as 'The Walking Dead' season 3 has shambled out following its epically awesome Comic-Con 2012 trailer, we've been starved for fresh footage!  After all, 'The Walking Dead' gang isn't going to make it to the prison and start battling The Governor right away, so what will they encounter on the road to Woodbury?  The latest clip has a nasty surprise waiting for Rick behind door number one...

TVLine has obtained a new spot from 'The Walking Dead' season 3, which serves up the first footage since this summer's trailer, and we would not want to be Rick Grimes about now.  However brief, the teaser shows Rick Grimes cautiously wading his way down a hallway, flashlight in hand, preparing to open an ominous door.

But what could be on the other side?  Walkers?  Linens?  Sophia?  Nope, we're pretty sure they covered that last one.  Whatever it is, we're betting the home Rick appears to be in is the same location glimpsed in the first promotional photo (above), which features the former Sheriff's Deputy brandishing a makeshift silencer against two encroaching figures.

'The Walking Dead' will premiere its third season on Sunday, October 14 with "Seed," though in the meantime we have plenty of shots, theories and interviews to get your 'Walking Dead' fix until then.

Take a look at the spot below, and tell us in the comments what you think Rick will find on the other side of the door when 'The Walking Dead' season 3 kicks off October 14!
