‘The Walking Dead’ Season 5 Sets August Blu-ray Release Date, Cover Art

The Walking Dead Season 5 is barely cold in the ground by Sunday’s “Conquer”-ing finale, but already the AMC drama has you covered on the next marathon re-watch. Get ready for The Walking Dead Season 6 with the official Season 5 Blu-ray and DVD release this August!

Per Anchor Bay’s official “save the date” announcement, The Walking Dead Season 5 will arrive on Blu-ray, Digital HD and DVD on August 25. For the moment at least, no details on audio and video presentations, bonus feature content, technical specs, or limited editions have been made available.

At the very least, Anchor Bay released the official cover art for The Walking Dead‘s Season 5 Blu-ray release, borrowing the midseason premiere’s key art, rather than any of the early Terminus photos. Release of the Season 5 home release will also likely connect with the late summer premiere of companion series spinoff Fear the Walking Dead, which itself runs for only 6 episodes in its first season before The Walking Dead proper returns in October.
