'The Walking Dead' season 5 draws closer and closer to its October 12 premiere, but even with a wealth of footage and photos to show for the AMC horror-drama, fans still have some major questions about the premiere. Answers are coming, as a new trailer for the season 5 premiere puts a familiar face in stealth mode at Terminus, along with a tease of at least three characters in major peril!

However brief, the latest trailer for 'The Walking Dead' season 5 takes Carol (Melissa McBride) away from the woodland-Tyreese scenes we'd seen her in previously, and confirms the character donning zombie guts (or at least mud) for a mission of her own. Bellowing "where are they?!" at an unseen figure, Carol almost unmistakably looks to be inside the "We First Always" shrine room we'd seen at Terminus, suggesting Carol attempts a rescue for the group, however successful it may prove. Also, what's this about Sasha worrying about three missing group members from that mysterious church?

Here's how AMC describes the new season, due to shamble out on October 12:

Season Four of The Walking Dead ended with Rick and the group outgunned, outnumbered, and trapped in a train car awaiting a grim fate. Season Five picks up shortly thereafter. What follows is a story that weaves the true motives of the people of Terminus with the hopeful prospect of a cure in Washington, D.C., the fate of the group’s lost comrades, as well as new locales, new conflicts, and new obstacles in keeping the group together and staying alive.

Stories will break apart and intersect. The characters will find love and hate. Peace and conflict. Contentment and terror. And, in the quest to find a permanent, safe place to call home, one question will haunt them…After all they’ve seen, all they’ve done, all they’ve sacrificed, lost, and held on to no matter what the cost…Who do they become?

While we wait for ‘The Walking Dead’ season 5, we know that existing stars Christian Serratos (Rosita), Alanna Masterson (Tara) and Andrew J. West (Gareth) have all been upgraded to series regulars, while ‘The Wire‘ star Seth Gilliam joined in a role confirmed to be that of comic preacher Gabriel Stokes. The fifth season of AMC’s monster-drama will pick up shortly after season 4 finale “A,” eschewing the usual time jump to show Rick and his cohorts’ time at Terminus. Oh, and don’t forget about that Comic-Con 2014 trailer, or our beat-by-beat breakdown of its secrets above!

Well, what do you think? Will Carol succeed in liberating Rick and the others from the Terminus captors? How will Gareth end up joining the group? Check out the latest "No Sanctuary" premiere trailer above, and tell us what you want to see from 'The Walking Dead' season 5 in the comments!
