A new 'The Wolverine' international trailer, but we're not so sure we're convinced about our hero losing his powers and becoming mortal. Maybe that's the kick this series needs to get interesting again, though.
This latest 'Wolverine' trailer features a bunch of new footage and continues to sell us on Logan/Wolverine traveling to Japan where he meets an old soldier friend whose life he once saved. Feeling indebted on his death bed, Wolverine's mysterious friend promises that he can remove the adamantium from Wolverine's body and make him a real man again -- meaning he can bleed and he can totally die.
Also appearing in the film are comic book favorites like Viper, a former friend of Wolverine's who has become his enemy, and Silver Samurai, who guarantees some pretty awesome swordplay at the very least. Perhaps, director James Mangold and co-writer Christopher McQuarrie (of 'The Usual Suspects' fame) can right the wrongs made in the first Wolverine film, but these trailers aren't really winning us over just yet (though they are steadily improving).
The film stars Hugh Jackman, Will Yun Lee, Svetlana Khodchenkova, Hiroyuki Sanada, Hal Yamanouchi, and Rila Fukushima, and hits theaters on July 26.
