A few days ago, we caught a handful of behind-the-scenes pictures from the Surrey, England set of 'Thor: The Dark World.' Depicting a hectic battle sequence, the images resembled something closer to 'Game of Thrones' than a superhero movie -- and we mean that in the best possible way. (Perhaps it's thanks to director Alan Taylor having helmed six episodes of 'Thrones'?) If those pictures did it for you, then you'll certainly be pleased to see some moving pictures from the set, courtesy of this all-too-brief video captured by Splash News. Check it out after the break.

The battle still ensues, as you can see, with Thor (Chris Hemsworth) fighting a slew of armored brutes alongside Sif (Jaimie Alexander). Explosions and dirt abound as the Norse God and his fellow Asgardians handle their enemies with what seems like ease. Of course, we're not sure yet how this plays into the film as a whole, but we're guessing this is a clash of the Dark Elves, led by Malekith (Christopher Eccleston) and his lead henchman Algrim (Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje), who later becomes the character Kurse. It also seems likely that this is going down on Thor's home turf, though probably not Asgard. An early scrap before another trip to Earth, perhaps?

We'll find out for sure when 'Thor: The Dark World' releases on November 8, 2013. In the mean time, check out the battle scene footage below and let us know what you think in the comments.
