And in other Marvel news… Although Cate Blanchett has not yet been confirmed for Thor: Ragnarok, that isn’t keeping one of her potential co-stars from gushing about her role in the upcoming sequel. Mark Ruffalo has maybe-possibly spilled the beans on Blanchett’s part in the film, revealing that she’s in talks to play the “baddie.”

Blanchett is still “in talks” for Thor: Ragnarok, and while nothing has been 100 percent confirmed as of yet, Ruffalo seemed pretty excited about the possibility while speaking to ET — so excited, that he may have just tipped us off about who Blanchett would be playing:

I’m so thrilled. I saw her at the Governors’ banquet here and heard that maybe she was circling, they were talking to her about the part, so I ran up to her and I was like, ‘Please, please, please make this work!’ She’s just one of the best, and to have her play a baddie is going to be really exciting.

There are a few villainous women in the Thor comics, namely Hela, the supposed daughter of Loki who reigns over the dead, and Amora the Enchantress, a sorceress who has tried (and sometimes failed) to enchant Thor on several occasions. There was another character who used the name Enchantress: Sylvie Lushton, a girl whom Loki bestowed with vast powers to transform her into an agent of chaos, and who models herself after Amora.

Ruffalo is set to reprise his role as Bruce Banner / Hulk opposite Chris Hemsworth’s mighty Asgardian superhero in Thor: Ragnarok, with Tom Hiddleston also expected to return as Loki. The film will reportedly feature very little of Earth and will instead explore other locations in the nine realms.

Taika Waititi (What We Do in the Shadows) is directing the sequel from a script by Black List screenwriter Stephany Folsom. Thor: Ragnarok hits theaters on November 3, 2017.
