Attention ‘Today’ Show: Your Al Roker Robot is Broken Again

Al Roker
NBC

If you made it this far into this article, we applaud you: your sense of humor is as warped as ours. Now we must try to explain the headline. Actually explaining probably isn’t going to work. Al Roker has malfunctioned and you’re going to have to watch the video.

Last week on the ‘Today’ show, Matt Lauer and Savannah Guthrie were on the “Plaza” (as the cool kids call it) doing their typically schticky banter in-between segments. But as he was reacting to some quips between Lauer and Guthrie, there was a glitch in the Roker machine and he remained frozen for the following :17 seconds.

There are a multitude of theories on what went wrong with Roker that morning ranging from his frustration with ‘Today’ producers following the Ann Curry debacle to a ‘Manchurian Candidate’/Enrico Pallazzo type scenario where Roker is now off trying to assassinate some foreign dignitary.

Whatever it is, watching Al Roker is beginning to become a bright spot in our mornings as he slowly gives less and less of a f—. (Also, is someone holding up a poster of Gallagher in the beginning of this clip?…)
