In the tradition of ScreenCrush series like You Think You Know Movies, You Think You Know TV, and Post Credits comes a brand new YouTube series: Top Five! Each week (or so; look, we’re busy guys), ScreenCrush editor and critic Matt Singer will count down a particular topic from the world of movies (and probably write these introductory posts in the third person).

Our series premiere is inspired by Adam Sandler’s new movie Pixels, in which invading aliens who look like classic video games completely trash Earth (including India’s famed Taj Mahal). In honor of all that pixelated rampage, this week Matt counts down the top five landmarks destroyed in movie history. There’s nothing Hollywood digs more than trashing New York (or London [or San Francisco]) so there are a lot of contenders, which means a lot of great choices got left off (sorry Big Ben from V For Vendetta). Such is the nature of top fives. Tough choices have to be made. These are just our picks. Yours could be completely different, and you will no doubt tell us that in the comments below. Just don’t trash the place completely. This ain’t a Michael Bay movie.

Top Five is a new ScreenCrush original series that ranks all kinds of cool stuff from the world of movies. This is our first episode, but we’re just getting started! Check out some of the best installments of our sister series, You Think You Know Movies below, and let us know what Top Fives you want to see in future episodes!
