One of the most divisive films of the year was Ridley Scott's sorta-kinda 'Alien' anthology prequel 'Prometheus.' Written by Damon Lindelof of 'Lost' fame, the film came under fire by many for asking more questions than it answered, but that's what I like about it -- when you start asking questions about the origin of man and pondering things like gods on other planets, getting a definitive answer might have been ultimately more disappointing. When tugging on threads, most tend to unravel as if infinite. Sure, the characters act like your typical horror movie dummies sometimes, but the themes and visuals are always exciting and engaging. When you're still talking about a movie weeks later, it must have done something right.
