I don't get whipped into a patriotic fervor all that regularly, but we should all be proud to have such a genuine saint, martyr and mensch on our five dollar bill. Steven Spielberg, screenwriter Tony Kushner and the greatest screen actor of our day Daniel Day-Lewis make one hell of a troika in a film that could have been stuffy and preachy, but instead is thrilling and inspiring. I'm seriously considering getting a top hat tattoo.

Best part: Abe telling Adam from 'Girls' a story.
