No. 6: ‘The Avengers’ – Top 20 Movies of 2012
When Earth's Mightiest Heroes team up with a guy who really gets nerd properties, the result is energetic, intergalactic fun. For a movie that's basically a bunch of people talking on a ship then zipping around New York City whaling on faceless space robots, it is exuberant, witty and so very watchable. There hasn't been a summer popcorn flick this good in years.
Best part: It's a movie of 100 best parts, but I love when Tony Stark zaps Bruce Banner to playfully check if he'll Hulk-out. They're best friends! Science friends!
