Decepticons, beware! Optimus and his Autobot warriors are back, newly rebooted and with some heavy artillery they know how to wield -- and should come in handy against those Dinobots. The latest batch of 'Transformers 4' pics get up close with these sort-of familiar faces (as we just said, they got a rebooted design) and tease some serious action to come, as well as an "all is lost moment."

USA Today got the drop on our latest look at Michael Bay's 'Transformers 4,' and producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura says the returning Autobots "are bigger and badder-ass than they have ever been." Did you see Optimus Prime's sword? Let's take a closer look at that real quick (*Click on the image below for a hi-res version):

"The sword is emblematic of what we've done to Optimus Prime as a whole," said di Lorenzo. "He's been upgraded with more abilities." But he's certainly not alone in this regard. Much like how Batman's suit changed through the years, Bay felt the Autobots needed an upgrade in order top his last films. "We needed to change the look from top to bottom."

'Transformers 4' takes place three years after the events of 'Dark of the Moon' and centers on Mark Wahlberg's Cade Yeager, living in Texas with his daughter (Nicola Peltz), her boyfriend (Jack Reynor) and Cade's sidekick (T.J. Miller) when they encounter an Autobot. John Goodman and Ken Watanabe recently joined the cast to voice Autobot Hound and Drift, respectively, while additional voicing will be done by Peter Cullen (Optimus Prime), Robert Foxworth (Ratchet), Reno Wilson (Brains), Frank Welker (Galvatron), John DiMaggio (Crosshairs) and Mark Ryan (Lockdown).

'Transformers 4' will hit theaters on June 27, and you can click on the images above and below to get closer looks at these latest pics. As Empire pointed out, Optimus gives a great impression of McBain from 'The Simpsons.'
