When last we left 'True Blood,' Sookie was dragged out of bed (cough, cough, with Alcide) to go and mentally sniff out Russell Edgington for Bill and Eric while simultaneously recovering from her Schnapps binge. Plus, Jason was trying to wrap his head around the fact that he was just booted out of a fairy night club (really, HBO?) and coming to terms with the fact that his parents were murdered by vampires... or so he was told.

Thankfully we don't have to wait in the dark till Sunday to find out how these two story lines progress. Two new clips from 'True Blood's' upcoming episode "Hopeless" have done that for us.

First, let's deal with this whole Sookie-Alcide hookup. Will there be a round two? From the looks of Eric's encounter with the werewolf, probably not. (We can already hear the howling from the ladies reading this at home.) The secretly jealous vamp used his Jedi mind tricks to convince Alcide that his fairy love interest actually grosses him out, though he still has to protect her with his life. Awful time to be Alcide, but at least we know that whatever dragged him off into the dark at the end of last episode didn't kill him.

While all that goes on, Jason will be having one vivid dream where he sees his father (again) and vows to avenge him by killing his murderer. Like any good dad, Mr. Stackhouse starts in by giving his son some advice. "The only thing you have to fear," he says, "is..." But, in true 'True Blood' style, the most important piece of information was cut off by Jason waking up.

Fortunately, we don't have to wait too much longer to get more answers, as 'True Blood' season 5 episode 6 "Hopeless" airs this Sunday. In the mean time, check out both clips in their entirety below.
