‘True Blood’ Unveils 12 New Posters for Season 5

We know waiting for the ‘True Blood‘ season premiere sucks (particularly because even into Season 5 HBO still kept pushing that tagline on us), but recent weeks have seen a marked increase in the campaign to get our fangs banging and blood pumping.  First we saw those twenty brand-spanking new photos (including our first look at new villains Christopher Meloni and Peter Mensah), but how feast your eyes on the full set (12!) of Season 5 posters!

Adding the clever new tagline “Everything is at Stake,” the twelve posters from ‘True Blood’ season five highlight all of the show’s major characters individually, including former ‘Law & Order: SVU‘ star Christopher Meloni as Roman, a key member of the Vampire Authority, and includes our first season 5 look at King Russell Edgington, newly exhumed from his concrete crypt!  Guess a lack of fresh air suits him, what with all those nasty sunburns having fully healed.

And what’s this with Tara, looking plenty healthy and spry considering the Season 4 finale ‘And When I Die” – SPOILER ALERT – blasted shotgun pellets clear through her skull, courtesy of Debbie Pelt?  Considering those first episode descriptions that leaked, the mystery is definitely afoot now that Rutina Wesley remains a series regular.
