New ‘True Blood’ Season 6 Trailer: Babes in Bras, Fancy New Weapons and Extinction at Hand!

Whether or not last night's premiere got you excited for the rest of the season, 'True Blood' has officially returned for its sixth year and launched a new group of villains to plague the residents of Bon Temps. Accordingly, HBO has released a new 'True Blood' trailer for the weeks ahead, and it's exactly as scantily clad and covered in blood as you'd expect from the fang-banging drama!

For as much as the new season seems to showcase Sookie's attempts to reclaim her life from all the supernatural mishegoss, the latest trailer puts vampires in the line of fire, both figuratively and literally. Not only has Governor Truman Burrell (Arliss Howard) helped to develop new weapons to fight back against vampires, but experimented on a number of the creatures to do it!

Soon, all supernatural creatures will face exposure to the public, Alcide warns to Sam. Meanwhile, the hunt for Warlow continues (despite Rutger Hauer's character proclamation last night), and Bill consults a vision of Lillith for the extent of his newfound powers and abilities.

Thus far, ‘True Blood’ season 6 features a returning guest cast of Courtney Ford’s Portia Bellefleur, ‘Last Resort’ star Robert Patrick, Anna Camp‘s Sarah Newlin, along with new additions Luke Grimes as the “Jim Morrison of vampires,” ‘House‘ star Karolina Wydra and ‘Eastenders’ star Robert Kazinsky as Sookie’s new fairy boytoy.
